Current Projects

As I begin my journey with this blog I figured I should start by listing some of the current projects I’m working on.

  • “Down the Road” Festival Submissions – To start, I recently finished my first feature film at the beginning of this year. It’s a micro-budget (nearly zero budget) production, but I had a lot of fun making it. I’m currently submitting to festivals, so we’ll see how that goes. For more information, visit its page.
  • New Feature Script – This is my main project right now. Using everything I learned from making “Down the Road” (and all the mistakes I made along the way), I wanted to craft a story all about someone going through a similar struggle. The pursuit of an all too ambitious dream, sabotaged by unreasonable perfectionism, and ultimately a downward spiral into creative paralysis. I’ve had this idea in my head since 2017 (when I was in my deepest struggles for “Down the Road”) and over the course of the last four years have been brainstorming ideas for it. As of today, I have amassed 141 pages of notes for it (single-spaced), and am ready to begin sifting through it all to finally construct the actual script. I believe in this project 100%, and fully believe that if done correctly it has the potential of making it into festivals like Sundance, Tribeca, etc. So that’s my main goal at the moment.
  • New Site Features – I’m also still working on building this site. Namely, the music page. My goal is to have a full listing of all my music tracks currently on YouTube/SoundCloud, complete with the ability to preview them, sort by genre/mood filters, access downloads, etc. I’m also setting up e-mail services and contact forms so people can get in touch.

The Site is Officially Live!

It’s official! Rickair Productions now has its own website!

Hi! I’m Erik, and welcome to my site! I’m super excited to share this first post with everyone! For years I’ve wanted to create this site, and now… I have! There’s probably not a whole lot of people who are going to see this at first; Rickair Productions is mostly a one-man band operation right now, and currently a very small entity. For example, here is a rundown of my statistics on various platforms (as of today):

My main success has been my music channel, but Rickair Productions is still quite small. I look forward to changing that as I learn, improve, and expand things.

But enough statistics, here’s a little about me and the history of Rickair Productions…

I have been making films since I was in middle school. Back then they were just skits with my friends, filmed on the fly without a script or any idea of where we were going with it. And over the years, things have gradually evolved into what they are today. This year officially marks the completion of my first feature film “Down the Road“. And for the past 10 years I have been chronicling its behind-the-scenes creation in my “Down the Road (Production Blog)“. I had a blast working on it (even through all the stress and hard work that it took to make), as well as managing the blog, and ever since then I’ve wanted to create an overall “Rickair Productions Blog” (plus my own official site) for all future projects. And as of today, that dream has finally come to fruition!

Looking forward to sharing updates on all my latest projects as they come in, and especially excited to finally start establishing Rickair Productions as a professional entity!
